Twin Hickory Committees

Learn about committees and activities in our community! If you are interested in starting a club or group, or joining an existing committee, please contact the board of directors or your community manager. If you’d simply like to join a group or committee, contact the organizer for more information.


Volunteers are always welcome to participate in any or all of the following committees:

Grounds & Landscaping

Responsible for making recommendations to the Board regarding grounds and landscaping in order to improve and maintain the aesthetics of the community. Also responsible for reviewing grounds maintenance and future needs for services, facilities and resources. Meets every other month.

Budget & Finance

Recommends a budget to the Board of Directors for approval and monitors the budget throughout the year, reviewing monthly financials and advising the Board of any variances. Meets quarterly.

Community Affairs

Assists residents with information about area developments and changes and serves as the host at any meetings necessary to present such information. Meets quarterly.

Recreation 

Plans and coordinates all aspects of the recreation events for Twin Hickory. Prepares an annual budget to present to the Board and closely monitors the budget for all events. Expected to assist with events and attend monthly meetings.

Pool

Conducts annual reviews of pool policies, safety regulations and prepares the annual budget to present to the Board. Ensures Pool contractor’s performance is met to the standard as expected. Coordinates pool parties and events with Staff Liaison. Meets monthly January – October.

Modification

Reviews homeowner requests for improvements to their home and/or property. Has exclusive jurisdiction over modifications, additions or alterations made on or to existing lots or structures. Meets twice a month in April-October and monthly November-March.

Neighborhood Watch

A citizens' organization devoted to crime and vandalism prevention within Twin Hickory. Stays alert to unusual activity throughout the community, stays in contact the authorities and helps keep the community informed. Meets quarterly.

Tennis

Conducts an annual review of tennis facility policies & regulations and manages the approved budget. Works with community tennis pro for teams and tournaments. Meets monthly January – October.
